How we handle your privacy
We count visits, not visitors. The analytics are our own installation of Umami, with no cookies and no third-party tracking, and nothing is sold on.
Who is responsible
kodeka is owned by Northflow Technologies AS, organisation number 936 979 815, which is the data controller for this website. The address is Jåttåveien 92, 4020 Stavanger, Norway. Questions about privacy go to team@kodeka.no.
Technologies by Pedersen, organisation number 937 423 136, is part of kodeka. Which of the companies you get your agreement and invoice from depends on the assignment, and it always says so in the offer before you sign anything.
Analytics, and why you don't see a consent banner
This website uses our own installation of Umami. It sets no cookies, stores nothing about you and builds no profile across websites. There is no Google Analytics here, and no tracking scripts from third parties.
The consent requirement in the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act applies to storing and accessing information on your device. Our analytics store nothing there, so you don't get a banner asking for something we don't need. We count visits, not visitors.
Your browser remembers two small things locally, only so the site works: whether you prefer the wheel or the list in the menu, and that you have closed the note about cookies. Neither is sent anywhere.
What we are left with are numbers without names: which pages were read, for how long, roughly which country, and which page you came from. None of it can be traced back to you.
The contact form
If you fill in the form, we receive what you type: name, email, phone number and any web address, plus the message itself. We use it to reply to you and follow up your enquiry, nothing else.
The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b), steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement. If nothing comes of it, the basis is legitimate interest under point (f): being able to find what was said if you get in touch again later.
Storage period: enquiries that don't lead to a client relationship are deleted after two years. If you become a client, the data follows the client relationship, and accounting records are kept for five years as the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act requires.
Who else sees the data
We sell nothing on and share nothing with ad networks. We use a few suppliers to get the job done, and they process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement:
- Vercel. Runs the website and receives the form.
- Resend. Sends the notice that you have filled in the form.
- Neon. The database behind the kodeka console, where your enquiry stays as a case.
The analytics run on our own infrastructure, not with a third party, so they are not on the list.
Your rights
You have the right to see what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to ask for processing to be restricted, and to receive the data in a machine-readable format. Where we process something based on legitimate interest, you have the right to object.
Send an email to team@kodeka.no and we'll reply within 30 days. You don't need to say why.
If you believe we are handling your data in breach of the rules, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. You will find contact details at datatilsynet.no.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we change this page. If the change is significant and you are a client, we tell you directly instead of counting on you to read it again.
